Beverly Hills Barbie

On Wednesday’s we wear pink.

Four years ago from today, I got the opportunity to travel to one of my top cities on my bucket list- California. It was my senior year of high school. Luckily with the help of my mom and fund raising, I saved the money to go through a school trip. Four hundred dollars later, I was on the west coast of the United States. We stayed in Anaheim but ventured all through out Los Angeles, Venice Beach, Huntington Beach, Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

I was in such a happy place surrounded by so much art and beautiful scenery. Every where you look there were mountains in the far distance and palm tree tunnels shadowing all over the streets.

While recently shopping Brandy Melville’s table at Pac Sun, I ran into this super pink and girly crop. It automatically brought me back to my time in California. After finding a top, I then began to rummage in the Kendall & Kylie collection where I found this denim skirt.

I’m one who hates wearing shorts and rarely wears skirts.  I can never find the proper pair to fit my waist, yet snug enough to slide over my thighs. Or another problem I run into are my legs. Being tall and having long legs make certain pieces fall way to short. But this time I got lucky!

This denim skirt is the perfect fit! It’s small by the waist and long enough to cover the cheeks. As a whole look together, it’s simplistic yet stylish which is perfect for the spring/summer time. To make such a causal outfit pop, you can add some flashy pieces like my choker and shoes.

My collection of hosting platforms in my closet just keeps growing. These summer edition Steve Maddens have to be my favorite yet. With every step in these shoes a sparkle followed my path.  Not only did my shoes shimmer but my starry gold choker blinded all the boys away.  After getting all glammed up, I felt like a living Beverly Hills barbie. 100% plastic and caked up.
