Hello my readers,
Is it to late to say Happy New Year? Only 21 days into the new year and I already have so much planned for 2016. The days keep just flying by. So sorry that it’s been a month since my last post from Art Basel. However, all my big news to announce, I want to start off with a story about this shoot. It was the first shoot of the new year and I was so ready to show off my new purple hair and furry, winter fashion.
My hair and makeup was done by the talented Emma Jean. If anyone is looking in the local Tampa Bay area for a creative hair dresser contact Emma .
After the long timely glam session, I collected my two looks and jumped in the car to drive Downtown. Every time I work with a photographer or do a shoot it’s always me and the other collaborator. But this time around I brought along my hair and makeup glam team along with my supporting boyfriend.
I was originally suppose to be shooting with one of my photographers Amber Lopez who’s work has been previously posted on LaVieDeMoii.Com. After numerous attempts to test shot, nothing was coming out right. The lighting was all wrong, the clarity was all blurred something was clearly wrong with her camera. With almost loosing hope and packing our bags home with no shots for my blog, we spotted a guy capturing Downtown Tampa’s night essence. Before calling it quits, we got him to come over and try to help us out.
I learned his name was Bryam Eusse photographer from Orlando, Florida. Only an hour away and he came to our rescue. After he couldn’t even figure out our camera difficulties, from the kindness of his heart he offered to take my pictures. It was sudden having changed photographers, especially one I didn’t have a relationship with but in this industry it’s all about taking risk and being out there. To take the time out from getting his own shots, we spent the rest of the night shooting in the inner city. Luckily he came overly prepared with lighting and extra camera equipment. It was all a blessing in disguise.
Bryam is an artist, currently studying filmography and travels among towns taking architectural/structure scenery shots. For someone who has never shot for a Fashion Editorial, I think he captured my look from a very creative mind. This definitely taught me to be more out there and active with meeting new faces and collaborating with more local artist.
