Festival Summer Time

It’s that time of year again when bathing suits are making their comeback and scarves are being replaced by hats and sunglasses. As a floridian I can not live without owning shorts. This summer I’m trying to add more color to my wardrobe rather than wearing my typical black, gray or white. While shopping at places like PacSun, H&M, and American Apparel I fell in love with crochet halter tops and hippie style designs. The new summer trends for bottoms are the soft pull-on shorts or the flare bell bottom prints.Their fun to mix and match prints with basic crops or halter tops. Pairing a basic top with a set of colorful fringe shorts is the ideal look for one of those scorching summer days. All the shoes seen in this post are my top 3 for this season. With fashion trends constantly revolving I’m obsessing over flare pants and thick platform sandals. They add an edgy look and give you the height to embrace your legs all together while making you feel like a Spice Girl .

fashion hint: taking a basic leotard and tucking it in under soft pull on shorts add a great effect vs. wearing a crop top or t-shirt

Adding little accessories like sunglasses or a black wool fedora makes the simplistic outfits stand out. Even doing something as basic as tying a plain tee in a knot is another way to style a daytime outfit.
